Description
These blankets have been made by eight generations of the same family at the USA’s longest continuously operating woolen mill (Woolrich), founded in 1830. Commonly referred to as the “1861 Emergency Issue”, these blankets were purchased and issued by the Federal government in huge numbers to make up for the lack of “Regulation” grey blanket production. Cut from rolls as were the originals, and left with raw edges. Comes with the issue “US” hand stitched into the center of the blanket as per the originals.
- Approximately 60″ W x 70″ L
- 85% wool/15% nylon, 24 oz./yd.
- Dry-clean only
- Made in USA
Original measurements and style we used to make the US on our blankets.
