Description

This scabbard is the Gaylord pattern with the riveted loop. It will accommodate all Springfield bayonets and most other triangular bayonets including the Enfield. The angular socket bayonet was produced for Infantry soldiers for use with the Model 1855, 1861 and 1863 muskets and the seven-rivet frog was approved for manufacture, superseding the two-rivet frog, in February 1863.
