Description

This flag was also known as the Stars and Bars. It was designed by Prussian artist Nicola Marshall in Marion, Alabama and first raised over the capital building in Montgomery on March 04, 1861. It had seven stars representing the states belonging to the Confederacy at that time. March 04, 1861 – May 21, 1861.
