Description
The Snake Buckle was typically used by Confederates during the Civil War; however, Union soldiers wore these belts as well as they too purchased equipment from the English. The shortage of domestically manufactured accoutrements forced the Confederacy to turn to Great Britain as a source. Confederate belts and leathers were purchased through companies such as S. Isaac, Campbell & Company and Fraser Trenholm & Company, generally conforming to British-Army regulation gear for the Enfield Rifle. This belt buckle is for use on our sword belts (LEATH-14) or NCO/Officer belts (LEATH-15). Approximate Length: 3-1/4″, Height: 2-1/4″
Made in the U.S.A.
