Description
Our box plate is lead-filled stamped brass with 2 loops on back and a leather thong for attaching to the cartridge box. Although not mentioned in Army Regulations, box plates were mentioned in various Ordnance Manuals of the period and are one of the most best-known Civil War artifacts. This Box Plate is for use during the entire Civil War (1839-1865). Approximate Length: 3-1/2″, Height: 2-1/4″
