Description
Brass, Federal Muffin button. Sometimes referred to as a “dome” or “three-piece” button. Regulation 1460 prescribed: “For General Officers and Officers of the General Staff–gilt, convex, with spread eagle and stars, and plain border; large size, seven-eighths of an inch in exterior diameter; small size, one-half inch”. The Muffin Buttons were also occasionally seen on other officer uniforms, some enlisted uniforms, and Confederate uniforms as well. Available in sizes Small or Large.

Small, approximately 5/8″, used on Caps, Vests, Cuffs, Overcoat Capes, etc.
