Description

ORIGINAL Full Length Model 1868 – 70 Rifle Stock to restore a cut down rifle or upgrade existing rifle.  There are no splits and it has not been sanded or refinished. The stock has 2 visible cartouches (See picture #11 & #12). There is a tight hair line crack from the top edge of the barrel channel to the front side lock plate washer (see picture #9).  The mark from the front washer toward the butt of the stock is a scratch not a crack. This will not affect fit or function but I mention it for the record. This stock will make an excellent long range custom rifle stock or use for replacement of a damaged original. Original Springfield 50-70 rifle stocks in this condition are difficult to find.
