Our leather sling is designed for the US Model 1842, earlier US smoothbore muskets and similar muskets of the era such as the Austrian Muster 1842. Designed from an original sling, this sling is made slightly wider to fit the wider sling swivels of the ’42 with a total length of 53″ (including the brass hook). It is made of Hermann Oak 7/8oz. leather to prolong use and is available in natural leather, as issued. Made in Gettysburg, PA.
