Description
In 1872, the War Department published new regulations, including the new infantry insignia. Struck in smooth brass, the 1872 pattern, besides being smaller, is quickly identified by three loops of cords with the tassels next to them. Although replaced by crossed muskets in 1875, field musicians continued to use the looped bugle ornamentation. Our insignia is perfect for Indian Wars or Cowboy Action impressions. Made from stamped brass with soldered brass wire hooks for attaching to hats or other items.
Approximately 2-1/4″ by 1-1/4″.
