Description
Our pin is made out of solid brass with a slide pin back and is approximately 1-1/4″ in diameter.
In the summer of 1861 thousands of Marylanders crossed the Potomac River to join the Confederate Army. It is estimated that 25,000 Marylanders fought with the Confederacy while about 60,000 men served in the Union Army. The 1st Maryland Infantry Regiment was formed in Winchester on June 16, 1861.
