Original 1863 Lock Plate, E. Robinson Manufacture

Description

Original M1861 Springfield lock plate, dated 1863 by Edward Robinson, New York City. There is the eagle on the lock plate with U.S. underneath, 1863 date on the lock plate as well. Nice example of a contractor- made plate. E. Robinson produced around 12,000 of this lock plate at their New York City plant from June 10, to December 29, 1863. This is an original piece that may or may not fit reproduction muskets. All sales final.
