Description

The Snake Buckle was typically used by Confederates during the Civil War. The shortage of domestically manufactured accoutrements forced the Confederacy to turn to Great Britain as a source. Confederate belts and leathers were purchased through companies such as S. Isaac, Campbell & Company and Fraser Trenholm & Company, generally conforming to British-Army regulation gear for the Enfield Rifle. This snake hook measures 1-5/8″ wide by 1″ high and is made of solid brass. Replacement snake hook is specifically from our BELTPLATE-001. Made in the U.S.A.
