Springfield 45-70 Hammer, Model 1873 Type II, Original

This Original second model 1873, Type 2 original hammer is in very fine condition. This style was used on trapdoors between approx. serial number 44,000 to approx. 96,000.

These Type 2 hammers are difficult to locate.

This hammer will fit and function on any Springfield 45-70 Trapdoor. It will fit all Models including 1873, 1877, 1878, 1879, 1884, 1888 Springfield Carbines, Rifles and Cadets.
