This Rare Carbine sight is called the Buffington rear sight. It was the first Springfield 45-70 rear sight with a Knob Windage Adjustment. It will fit and function perfect on any Springfield 45-70 Trapdoor.

Fine overall Condition with deep clear marking. The ladder is marked with an C for Carbine. The ladder flips up easily and the elevation/windage knob works great. This is an original Springfield Model 1884 45-70 Trapdoor rear sight. It was designed for more adjustments to increase accuracy for rifle or cadet. It will also fit all Models including 1873, 1877, 1878, 1879, 1884, Springfield Carbines.

This sight uses  (ORI–333 & ORI-334) to mount this sight.

This sight is used with Lower Band (ORI-331)
