This sight is also called the Buffington rear sight. It was the first Springfield 45-70 rear sight with a Knob Windage Adjustment. It will fit and function perfect on any Springfield 45-70 Trapdoor.

Excellent overall Condition with deep clear marking. It has over 98% bluing. The ladder is marked with an R for Rifle. The ladder flips up easily and the elevation/windage knob works great. This is an original Springfield Model 1884 45-70 Trapdoor rear sight. It was designed for more adjustments to increase accuracy for rifle or cadet. It will also fit all Models including 1873, 1877, 1878, 1879, 1884, 1888 Springfield Rifles and Cadets.

This sight uses  (ORI–333 & ORI-334) to mount this sight.

This sight is used with Lower Band (ORI-331)
