This original Model 1877 Receiver # 70673. It has a light black attractive even patina with a few minor bumps and bruises on the out side. The internal surfaces are in fine condition. It  will fit and function perfect in any Springfield 45-70. The Barrel and Tang Threads are in great condition. If you are planning to build a rifle or repair an existing 45-70 this will work fine.
