RARE original early Custer serial range first model Receiver that was produced in early 1874. # 11413 is marked deep and clear. It will fit and function perfect in any Springfield 45-70 Barrel. Near mint condition overall with 98% smooth blue black finish. Barrel and tang threads in Perfect condition. If you are planning to build a Custer carbine or sporting rifle in 45-70 this would be a wonderful start and will work great. It would be very difficult to find another early receiver in this condition. This is a nice piece of history.
