U.S. Issue Drawers by Wambaugh, White & Co.

Simple drawers made from canton flannel are one of the most important parts of a living historians impression from a comfort and health standpoint. Enlisted men were alloted three pairs of drawers in the first year of service, and two pairs in each subsequent years. Cotton drawers act as the first layer against the skin, wicking away moisture keeping the wearer cool and dry.

The Wambaugh, White & Co. reproduction US issue drawers are based on an original pair on the Troiani collection, which were made to the regulation pattern by contractor Alvin Rose. They feature a two button waistband closure, adjustment laces in the back of the waistband, and ties at the cuffs. They are made of canton flannel, a medium weight fabric that is durable on the outside, and soft on the inside.
