45/70 Original Springfield Butt Stock Model 1873-1889

Ideal to make into a carbine or use as is. Original Springfield Butt Stock for Model 1873-1889 45-70 Trapdoor. It will fit all Models including 1873, 1877, 1878, 1879, 1884 Springfield Carbines, Rifles and Cadets.

This is an original Rifle stock with a Clear SWP 1883 Cartouche and a clear circle P proof behind trigger guard. There are no cracks or splits in the stock. The stock was modified to a sporter style forend. The forend is 4.25 inches long which would be more than enough to slightly rework to original carbine length or use as is. The stock was glass bedded for shooting. There is some minor repair in the butt plate area (see Pictures). The top of the tang area has been slightly flattened (see Pictures).

This stock is ready for shooting. It will fit and function perfect in any Springfield 45-70 Trapdoor receiver barreled action.
